Think of it like this: if you see someone wearing a raincoat, you can infer that it's likely raining outside. But you're not "reading their mind" – you're just making a logical deduction based on observed data. AI-powered "mind-reading" tools do something similar, but on a much larger and more complex scale. The problem? These correlations are often shaky, context-dependent, and prone to errors.
